We left Mesa Verde fairly early this morning (9:30) and drove to Cortez to wash the RV before we headed for Moab - about 120 miles North & West. Blue Boy needed a 3,000 mile service and I thought I could get it done in Moab. But I called ahead, and Moab Ford would not lub, oil, filter the RV (said they were too small) so I found a truck service stop in Monticello, UT (about half way) who would. Doing all of that got us to Dead Horse Point State Park around 4:30.
It's hot here too! We just can't get out of the heat. Mid 90's today and forecasted for the next 3 as well. We'll tough it out as planned, but may not get the hiking in we had hoped for. There is plenty to do in the car sightseeing Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, but we want the walking exercise. Just hard to get motivated to go out in the desert when it's 95.
Beautiful country here in Utah!
We'll take pictures tomorrow and post when we get back. Good internet service here, but phone signal not very dependable.
